Hi people, Poli here...
I will talk something that I believe is true today... So, in my opinion, the reason of it all, this indifference, lack of motivation, interest and preoccupation that young people are going through are not the cause of lacking of empathy. It is exhaustion. We are all very tired of seeing all the wrong things that are happening and not being able to do anything about it, of seeing changes and nothing really changing. Do you want a real example of what I am talking about? Politics in Brazil! I can even see people shrinking on their seats in front of the computer when seeing the word: 'politics". Nobody really likes to argue on politics. Well, I can't say 'nobody', but at least the greater number of the population. And you know why 'nobody' likes politics? Because we are really tired of it.
Come on, who here stands in front of the voting machine with the heart and mind full of hope and conviction that the guy you are voting for is the exactly right choice to help Brazil? Even when you chose blank vote or none of the above, who here really feels like you are making a difference? I don't think I know anyone... We are so very tired of all the same people getting elected that and never doing anything to help the people out. We just see scandals and robbery and a lot of people that are not even a bit ashamed.
Politics in Brazil is already a great party. Nobody takes it serious anymore. And it does't matter if some new politician comes around and say he our she has good intentions, who is going to be the first to believe in him or her? The first one to be called stupid as well? I think we are so disbelieved that we have gotten softer. We don't car anymore who wins or not, because deep down there is no difference between any of them. And they are always the same people as well. A group that does not mix. I even have conspiratorial theory that they all rule together in a dark room while laughing at our sillyness. After all I can't even remember an election for mayor of São Paulo, for example, since I've been living (not that this is a very long time...) that didn't included Marta, Alckimin or Maluf. Old news does not make a newspaper and everybody knows this. And it is not worthy to think that the ones that are down on the chart getting lesser votes, that underdog that will not win, could change something if he was elected. We have enough proofs that politics in Brazil hasn't changed almost at all and it it does not seem wise to bet on anyone else.
Just think about our past. What was the time in Brazilian's history that we were perfectly happy with everything? That everything was going just right? Never, actually. Monarchy didn't work, neither did the democracy or republic. Not even dictatorship and socialism did not work in other countries, why would it manage to work it out in a place where everything turns out to be carnival. Nothing actually worked and the changes that the other generations fought for did not bring order or progress, exactly. Ok, alright... not having the dictatorship anymore is a big step. We can say whatever we think and there is no chance we are going to prison or be tortured just because we mocked the government. A problem that was solved. But what about the others? Negligence, corruption, lack of priorities, overinvoicing, few investments in the population, horrible distribution of money, does anybody knows what to do with all that? The truth is that it seems we did evrything there was to be done, we pilled the onion until there is no more layer left, we took care of every problem that was within our hands and now we can see the main problem of Brazil. And when we do have the capacity of facing the center and find a solution, well, we do not have any tricks left. Our patience is over, our creativity has been wear out and even though we are better informed and better educated we cannot see a solution. Kinda frustrating, isn't it?
I believe that is why no one talks about politics, or enjoys arguing about it... We do not like to remember or frustrations and failures. It's depressive and annoying. But what do we do about it?
a) Create our own party
b) Move to Antarctica
c) Do not care if your life continues the same
d) Other options that are more reasonable and we still haven't figure it out
e) None of the above (add some suggestions on the commentary box)

Vou falar algo que eu penso aqui hoje... Então, pra mim, a causa disso tudo, esse descaso, essa desmotivação, essa falta de interesse e preocupação pelos problemas que os jovens estão passando é uma coisa diferente do que falta de empatia. É cansaço. Estamos todos muito cansados de ver as coisas erradas acontecendo e não termos poder para fazer nada. De ver mudanças e não ver nada realmente mudando. Quer um exemplo bem concreto para isso? A política no Brasil! Já sinto até o pessoal se enconlhendo na cadeira do computador ao ler essa palavra: "política". Ninguém gosta de discutir política. Bom, ninguém também não, mas a grande maioria da população pelo menos. E sabe por que ninguém gosta de política? Porque estamos muito cansados dela.
Fale a verdade, quem aqui vai na urna no dia da votação com certeza absoluta e aquela esperança no coração de que o cara que você está votando é o melhor que poderia acontecer com o Brasil. Mesmo quando você vota branco ou nulo, quem aqui sente que está fazendo a diferença? Acho que eu não conheço ninguém... Estamos tão cansados de ver pessoa após pessoa entrando no governo e nunca fazendo algo que realmente satisafazesse o povo. Só vemos escandalos e roubos e muita gente cara de pau.
A política no Brasil já virou festa mesmo. Ninguém mais leva a sério. E não importa que venha alguém que diga que tem boas intenções, quem vai ser o primeiro a acreditar nela? O primeiro a ser chamado de tapado também? Acho que a gente ficou tã descrente que ficamos moles. Não nos importamos mais em quem ganhe, porque no fundo, no fundo, não tem diferença entre nenhum deles. E é sempre o mesmo pessoal. Uma panelinha marcada já. Tenho até uma teoria conspiratória que eles todos mandam juntos e riem de nossas caras de bestas por trás. Afinal não consigo me lembrar de nenhuma eleição para prefeito de São Paulo, por exemplo, em todos os anos que eu existi (não que foram muitos) onde não estivessem concorrendo Marta, Alckmin ou Maluf concorrendo. Figurinha não completa álbum e todo mundo sabe disso. E não adianta pensa que aqueles outros que ficam em baixo nas pesquisas, a zebra que não vai ganhar mesmo, poderia mudar alguma coisa se fosse eleito. Tivemos provas suficientes que a política no Brasil não muda significantemente e não adianta apostar em mais ninguém.
É só pensar no passado. Qual foi a vez na história do Brasil que poderiamos falar que estava tudo indo de vento em popa? Que estava realmente do jeito que deveria ser? Nunca realmente, a monarquia não funciono aqui, nem a república, ou a democracia, nem a ditadura e o socialismo não funcionou em outros países, porque daria certo aqui, onde tudo tende a virar carnaval? Nada funcionou de verdade e as mudanças que os outras gerações tentaram fazer não trouxeram exatamente ordem e progresso. Ok, tudo bem... a gente não tem mais ditadura e isso é um avanço. Podemos falar o que pensamos e não corremos o risco de sermos presos e torturados se tirarmos sarro do governo. Um problema resolvido. E os outros? Corrupção, descaso, falta de prioridades, super faturamento, pouco investimento na população, péssima distrubuição de renda, alguém sabe o que fazer com isso? A verdade é que parece que a gente já fez tudo o que dava pra ser feito, descascamos todas as camadas da cebola e tiramos os problemas de cima do problema principal até que podermos finalmente ver qual é a do Brasil. E quando temos capacidade de encarar o núcleo e achar uma solução, bom, não temos mais cartas na manga. Acabou nossa paciência, nossa criatividade e apesar de sermos mais bem informados e mais bem educados não vemos um resultado. Frustrante ou não é?
Acho que é por isso que ninguém fala de política, ou gosta de discutir... Não gostamos de lembrar das nossas frustrações e fracassos. É depressivo e chateante. Mas o que a gente faz?
a) Criamos um partido nós mesmos
b) Mudamos para a Antártica
c) Não se importar se a sua vida continuar do jeito que está
d) Outras opções mais sensastas que ainda não sabemos qual é?
